Free Commissions Scam Review

Free Commissions Scam Review

Free Commissions Scam Review
This is just so advanced that we don’t clearly understand the follow method ourselves, and take the view inexperienced souls would be lost in minuets, faced with a bewildering, whelming wealth of knowledge that has no clear guidance or plain English explanations, and seems to depend on the user already understanding the buzz words and methodology.
This is one of those programmes that we think the novice should avoid, unlike the simple to follow  Matt & Mark’s “Video Commission Formula
Well here it is we are on the inside of Free Commissions just to show you we went there.
We have removed all of the links here to protect the innocent.
There are already a great many reviews about Free Commissions on Web-Sites and YouTube but most of then are very economical with the truth, and notice they are all promoting Free Commissions.
Some even shout “ Free Commissions Scam DON’T BUY” then if you follow their link and arrive at a web-site or you-tube video you will only hear about how good Free Commissions is according them, then, “them” will encourage you to buy it,  just don’t it.
At every stage upgrades are pushed at you in the most infuriating manner.

It’s all So staged, So hammy, So emotive you can’t stop watching just to see how bad it gets, and from bad to worse it gets, in the end it does go ballistically bad. If anyone pays money and buys into this after watching this series of Harold Pinter type videos they may need testing, but of course we all know many will.
We paid for it order to check it out for some of you budding internet entrepreneurs.
More promotions, more up-sells yet more distractions :

We tested one link “INSTANT CASH EMPIRE” and found :-

ClickBank LogoThis site is no longer in service or has been disabled due to a terms of service violation. It as been shut down for a Violation of terms, what terms one ponders?.

If you have time on your hands. Just keep clicking your page back go away or “Leave Page” button and have a good laugh at the hilarious attempts to get you to buy as with every go away “Leave Page” click, the buy-in price keeps on tumbling, until eventually you will end up on the last page, and only then at great length you will be able get this infuriating get rich quick thing for free, if you really want it. We paid $29.00 because we are stupid but not that stupid because we didn’t pay $297.00 or $197.00 or even $97.00 n0t even the $49.00 offer. We had no idea it would eventually drop down to free, believe it or not we were taken in by the sales pitch : “this is your very last chance” so we prematurely paid $29.oo to try it out.

This tactic is designed specifically to suck money out of the inexperienced pockets and why we say novices should avoid it.

We haven’t yet figured out a way to stop this annoying guy from popping up again and again with more idiotic offers, there is some sort of screen loop or capture loop cookie operating and you can’t break free, eventually we had to shut the browser down and clear the cash to get rid of this character, novice’s keep away.

We went on a bit further all the way to step 3, then following another stupidly long condescending, introduction video did we find, yes you guest it, what a surprise, more up-sells, this time you were expected to signup and buy a wed-site from Hostzilla. We suggested a name we might use : FreeCommissionsScamReview.com/ and got approval for the name, it’s a good name for this niche but we don’t have time to do it justice, maybe one of you can, is is available at the moment.

We didn’t buy http://freecommissionsscamreview.com/,  we decided that now was the time to draw a line and to stop spending any more money.
Oh and one more thing, we forgot to mention there is a flash count down clock here that says : “Time Remaining to Claim This Offer” when we looked last it read : 20mins 22secs 32msit when we looked again 4 hours later the clock read : 10mins 18secs 42msit it had reset itself to give us just a little more time to decide, how thoughtful, you’re not of course running out of time to consider your options, the clock is set to continuously loop.  It’s just another trick to harry you into thoughtless action.
Colnclusion :

Dear Free Commissions
May I have a refund please. this is not as described, not fit for purpose.

Automated Back-Links

Automated Back-Links

Automated Back-Links

Technology moves quickly, those who can keep up will reap the best results. Not to long ago it was quite ok to build thin affiliate web-sites with 1000’s of back links from your favourite easiest method, that is definitely no longer the case, in just a few short years Google has all but stamped out this exact web site model and with Google about to update Panda again, anyone still marketing with this type of site will be hit again.
Google is rightly trying to improve user experience but in so doing web site marketing incomes have been seriously damaged. Getting back links has always been a very time consuming necessary evil. Using Automated Back-Links is the easy way to drive more traffic to your pages, quickly and effectively, but use poor links and you will have Pander stamp on you.

Google's Pander stamp

Google’s Pander courtesy of : seochampion.com

We have studied a number of different programs and offers, relating to Automated Back-Links, looking closely at the many methods and tools to help with this extremely frustrating, but oh so necessary task.

One thing we found looking at all the various offers was that most of the products and tools seem to be Windows-based, pretty annoying for anyone without the Windows operating system, useless for us since we run everything on Mac’s.

However you will be pleased to know we have found the answer, a web-based service you can also use for Free if you need to, with a Simple back-linking method that’s Safe and will keep Google’s Pander happy.

SocialAdr is our choice, an excellent automated web-based service that will promoted your web pages on different sites, at a natural pace to keep Pander sweet, with very little work required from you.

In addition and more important for any Mac user is that this service is web-based, ie (Works from any-computer, Anywhere, Anytime), good news for 1stPro, we all operate with Apple Mac OS X.

So our recommendation then, although there are many other options out there with different offers, for quality Automated Back-Links without the hassle use :-  SocialAdr.com  click >here< to join up Free.

Google make Impossible Simple and Simple Impossible

Google make Impossible Simple and Simple Impossible

Google make impossible simple and simple impossible, some say because they are gigantic, some say to big and unwieldy to control and function efficiently, and certainly too big to care about you the individual.

For instance we have several YouTube accounts and as many Google accounts that Goo,. FORCED us to open with every YouTube account opened.
We have had a Google account for many years with all the trimmings AdSense, Partners, YouTube Etc,. But about three years back we lost the YouTube account associated with this AdSense account. and for just as many years we have been trying unsuccessfully to link our other YouTube accounts with the original Google/AdSense account.

On numerous occasions we have spent hours dancing from one Google forum link to another trying to find the answer we need to move on,  always ending up frustrated and bewildered with more questions then answers. Google-Goo we call it, the experience of trying to get a simple question answered from Google.

It seems the only way for us to get over this problem is to close our well establish original account and start all over again, but obviously we really don’t want to shut down years of painstaking work so we continue to use a broken account.

Any one have the same problem with Google-Goo, please comment and let us know.

How big is Google ?

It is extremely difficult to estimate how big Google is. but if you can imagine every page of a web site and all the text articles and web-logs, every picture and video on each and every page of every website in the world. Google has a copy of the lot, not only that but every time a new article is written or post posted picture or video uploaded, Google will keep a copy together with all up-dates old-dates, deleted no longer used web sties and pages. Can you picture that ? No, Impossible but Google can.

If all of the (above) did not give you a clear idea of just how big Google is, here (below) is a list of some top ranked websites that belong to Google.

Keep yourself food fit

Keep yourself food fit

Keep yourself food fit

This really is a gigantic subject full of conflicting opinions and controversial views.

We have featured this series of videos before, but It’s worth doing so again to press home the very important fact that you really are what you eat, (and that’s not some clever meaningless sound bite or advertising jingle), it is a statement of fact, “You Are What You Eat” you eat junk food and your body will become a junk body,  you eat fit food and you will have a more than good chance of owning a fit healthy body to live in.

Please have a good look at these videos and absorb the message we are trying to get you budding internet entrepreneurs to understand, you must Keep yourself food fit or become unfit.

Keep yourself food fit.

Fat men overweight walking

People today it seems are getting fatter and fatter, We see this every day at the local super market, often you see young girls that can hardly walk pushing trolley’s and it is the girls, women who seem to be the fattest or maybe It’s because most of the men are now to fat to get out and go shopping with the women.
I was born in the 1940s and remember the 1950s well enough and obesity, (being fat) was never really noticed at least by me it wasn’t, there was a fat man at the end of our road but he was ill and did not get out very much, although I do remember he did shuffle, huffing and puffing to the local shops and back home again.
I also remember dust bins, back then in the 1950s they were all made out of metal with a lid, usually painted black or if you were posh you had a galvanised dustbin and if you looked in side what would you normally see?, dust from house cleaning or ash from an open fire neatly wrapped in newspapers. nowadays you have 2 or 3 plastic wheelie bins, Blue for glass or boxes, Green I think for recyclables and a Black one for I forget what, and they are always overflowing with packaging, processed food bags, boxes and other so called consumables spilling out onto the ground. In the 1950s you did not throw away a thing, anything remotely useful not wanted you’d give away to a friend or neighbour. Nowadays it you gave a second hand 18 carat gold ring to someone they would feel insulted, with today’s thinking It’s in the bin, eBay or the charity shops, unheard of in the 1950s.

One comment we have :

Hello my name is David,
I had what I thought was the greatest job in the world, sitting at a desk all day long having fun whilst others slogged away out in the fields.
I was wrong, aged 43 following my 1st heart attack I had two stents fitted at Kings in London and was given a cocktail of tablets, advised to exercise more and eat a balanced diet of meat, fish, fruit and vegetables and sent home.
I did as prescribed.
1 year later my 2nd minor heart attack had me back at Kings to unblock one of the stents, then following years of pain, discomfort and medication experiments, my 3rd heart attack had me back to Kings for 2 more stents.
In less than 10 years I have had 3 minor heart attacks the 1st, 2 stents, the 2nd 1 stent repair and the 3rd 2 more stents were fitted, a total of 4 stents, and 1 repair and years of discomfort.
Clearly something wasn’t working!
I am not really a vegetarian but it was now clear to me that you need to Keep yourself food fit because medication alone will not. I decided to stop eating all food stuffs containing cholesterol, in other words I am on a no cholesterol diet, not on a low cholesterol diet. I also decided to stop eating processed foods and any food containing gluten along with no dairy.
My diet then is No-Dairy No-Glue, No-Processed-food, so far I feel pretty good.
Within weeks my toilet became near perfect, I won’t go into details but suffice to say, good shape and colour twice a day.
I also lost a little weight and my stomach, no longer bloated felt flat, I still have a paunch belly but with no bloating I can feel my flab and am working on that with new hope.

Build Web-Sites promote products

Build Web-Sites promote products Building a Web-Site or multiple sites to promote products is a very good way to start working on the internet. Start with one web site at a time, don’t make the mistake of buying lots of domains names and not getting any of the sites working properly.

123-Reg.co.uk  123-Reg sell domain names competitively in a very simple and straight forward manner, they can host for you as well but we would recommend that you host elsewhere, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

HostMonster.com  Host Monster are one of the more competitive hosting companies at this time that will allow you to host multiple web sites for a single annual fee, but only under a single main domain name, can cause problems if you plan on running a number of sites, you may have the lot shut down without warning.

Firefox Tabs Back-on-Bottom

Firefox Tabs Back-on-Bottom

Firefox Tabs Back-on-Bottom How to put Firefox 15.0.1 tabs back on the bottom like they used to be?

Mozilla that is Firefox in their infinite wisdom, have decided that we will all be better off with our browser tabs on top of the browser instead of conveniently position under the browser search box as with the old Firefox,.

With new Firefox by default they moved the tabs up above the search box instead, most seem to view this as an awkward spot for a number of reasons we don’t have time to discuss now.

Can you put the Firefox Tabs Back-on-Bottom like they used to be? Yes you can.

RATHER YOU COULD BY FOLLOWING THE FOLLOWING STEPS –

  1. In the search box, type in “about:config then click Return.
  2. Warning page will appear :  This might void your warranty! Changing these advanced settings can be harmful to the stability, security and performance of this application. You should only continue if you are sure of what you are doing.
  3. Click on the words “I’ll be careful, I promise!” and continue on to the about:config page and be CAREFUL you can break things here.
  4. In the search box, at the top, type in “browser.tabs.onTop
  5. You will then see :-  browser.tabs.onTop – default – boolesn – true =Tabs-on-Top
  6. Double-click the word browser.tabs.onTop to toggle the tabs on top or bottom.
  7. Double-click ~You will see :-   browser.tabs.onTop – default – boolesn true =Tabs-on-Top
  8. Double-click ~You will see :-   browser.tabs.onTop – user set – boolesn false =Tabs-on-Bottom
    1000 × 510 – myworldthruabrowser.blogspot.com
BUT PLEASE NOTE! FireFox 2015 has removed this functionality, to restore Firefox tabs back-on-bottom is now very simple, all you have to is install the FireFox extension Tabs On Bottom this extension has one purpose, to put Firefox Tabs Back-on-Bottom as curved tabs.
1stpro Image  FireFox Tabs-on-the-Bottom

1stpro Image FireFox Tabs-on-the-Bottom

Mozilla ~ Firefox, Explains why they think are tabs on top better :
The main reason is that it just makes more sense. With the old way, the tab and the controls were grouped together and the page was separate. With tabs on top they are now all grouped together so that each tab has it’s own set of controls. But for the diehards one can put Firefox Tabs Back-on-Bottom if you like.This change also makes more sense for App Tabs. In the future, this arrangement will allow App Tabs to remove the browser controls or to allow a web app to use its own custom controls. This also goes for the new Add-on manager which is now displayed in a tab instead of a window.And finally, in Firefox 4, we changed the way website notifications are displayed. Now, instead of a dialog box appearing at the top of the window, they are connected to their tab. This makes it clear which website the notification belongs to and allows you to ignore it and switch tabs if you wish. With tabs on bottom, the notifications will cover your tabs and get in your way.Firefox Tabs Back-on-Bottom

Embedding Videos

Embedding Videos

Embedding Videos is very simple when you know how, today it is just a tiny bit of HTML

In the early days embedding a video into a web page was a challenge, with different formats to chose from and not all visitors would have the software installed to see the video and bandwidth was limited.

Most people now 2012 have broadband and although there are many video formats the most commonly used method to embed video today is via the Flash player which is provided in a file from an external host, such as YouTube.

Secure Empty Trash

Secure Empty Trash

Secure Empty Trash

When you empty the trash to remove files and folders from your Mac Trash bin, they may appear gone but that is not the case all that deleted files, pictures and videos etc,. are still on your hard drive.

Deleting files (empty trash) only tells your Mac OS X to overwrite the hard drive space deleted data still occupies, that means until deleted data is written over by new data all the original data is still there and clearly visible to any basic data recovery disc.

If you want to make sure that your deleted files can not be easily recovered, always use the Secure Empty Trash option instead of just Empty Trash.

How to Secure Empty Trash with Mac OS X :

Go to Finder scroll down past Empty Trash and click on Secure Empty Trash instead.

How to Secure Empty Trash

How to Secure Empty Trash

Secure Empty Trash makes your deleted files very difficult to recover.

If you : Secure Empty Trash everything that is currently in your Trash will be overwritten with random data, making any deleted files very difficult to recover and decipher, (but not impossible) Secure Empty Trash is a good step more than useful when you want to permanently delete old personal records, photographs and videos etc some of which could potentially be used to steal your identity or worse.

To further enhance the deleting process with Mac OS X you can also Zero Out Deleted Files.

How to Zero Out Deleted Files, go to Go, then go to Applications, go to and open Disk Utility, click on Erase, then click Erase Free Space, and finally select Zero Out Deleted Files.

You can go a bit further here at this stage if you feel the need you can select 7-Pass Erase of Deleted Files or 35-Pass Erase of Deleted Files, however, you will need a bit of time on your hands because it’s a long process.  Zero Out Deleted Files is much quicker and pretty reassuring especially if you have already Secure Emptied the Trash.

Mac OSX Secure Empty Trash

Also under Finder Preferences, under Advanced, you can tick the (Empty Trash securely) box, that way every time you empty the trash OS X will slowly but surely, Secure Empty the Trash bin for you.

Please don’t think any of this as the ultimate in privacy protection, security measures in use today will not be adequate in the future as new security technologies are developed.

Secure Empty Trash

Keeping your Data Secure

The best thing to do, if you are looking for safe High Security Storage for sensitive and valuable information, banking and confidential details etc,. is to only use a Hard-Wired External Remote Hard-Drive Storage-Device, connected to your computer via a USB Plug and have the Hard Drive located well away from your computer, locked away in a Safe preferably with a small hole drilled in the side for the Hard-wired cabling, or better still have it hidden under the flood boarding or buried behind brickwork, whatever you do make absolutely certain someone unscrupulous can not get their hands on your Hard-Drive because, no matter how well you secure lock your hard drive data, some of that data can still be professionally extracted if your hard-drive should end up on a professionals work bench, and of course make absolutely certain you do Secure Lock all Hard-drive Data/Files, because if you don’t and that same someone stumbles upon your Hard-drive USB plug all your Files/Data will be open and freely available.

Conclusion :

Always Secure Empty Trash.

  Always regularly Zero Out deleted files.

   Always use a Hard-Wired storage-device.

    Always Lock your storage-device Data/Files.

     Always hide Storage-Devices in a safe secure place.

      Always use External Remote Hard-Drive storage devices.

Confidence with hard wired data storage systems is much higher, perceived as more secure then radio for sensitive data. We would agree for safe high security storage of sensitive and valuable information, banking and confidential details of this type. It’s probably best not to have the additional worry of data interception with a radio connection, and use instead a hard wired connection for peace of mind.

Western Digital (below) is ideal for this because, for your peace of mind it can be plugged directly into your computer to eliminate all fears from radio transmission.

Confidence with radio data systems :

This High Security Storage unit from Western Digital is ideal for home or office, with a huge 3T-Byte Wire-free or Hard-wired connection, this unit is extremely versatile and safe.

3TB Home Cloud Personal Storage

Buy Sell eBay Hell

You can find almost everything on eBay, whether you have something specific in mind or you’re just looking around. Still can’t find what you’re looking for? Tens of thousands of new items are added every dayeBay logo

  • Browse when you’re not exactly sure what you’re looking for, or when you just want to poke around in a particular category, like Clothing or Home & Garden. To browse, click on a category on the left side of the eBay home page.

  • Search when you’re looking for something in particular. Just enter a few words to describe the item in the Search box, which is at the top right corner of most eBay pages.

Products to Buy or Sell

Selling old 2nd hand stuff on eBay can be annoying largly because you will be drawn in and obliged to answer mind-numbingly stupid questions, for instance, you may have an old cell phone to sell, a fairly typical item, you will post one or two pictures and try to describe the phone as best you can, detailing scuffs and any known deffects ending with, sold as seen for spares with no battery or charger, untested.

Sadly soon after the sale begins you are likely to get questions about the phone,  like this one :-  Hi just wondering does the phone hold a charge ok?  or :- Hi is the phone signal working?  and :- Hello I have the same phone, do you want to buy the battery and charger from me?

It’s so easy to ignore these dumb questions, you want to ignore them and that’s very tempting, but if you do eBay will mark your rating down under poor Communication, in other words you have to spend your time to respond.

Here are just ten (10) from thousands of messages sent to us at 1stPro from eBay members to give you a taste of what dealing on eBay will be like in reality.

Please note :-

eBay will stop you from trading if too many people complain about you, that’s all well and good for the buyer – keeps them safe but please note! you only need a handful of unhappy buyers or malitious buyers to destroy all your good P/Relations work and possibly stop you from trading altogether.
Sadly you will always get the odd sad individual who will pleasure themselves by hurting you, and eBay it seems will always take the side of the buyer and penalise you the seller.
One of eBay’s favorite seller penalty they like to regularly dish out if a buyer is unhappy, and complains bought His or Her purchase, is to refund all the money back to the buyer including all postage and packing costs, and then eBay will leave it up to the buyer to send you back the item they complained about, so you loose the lot your time and effort photographing the item describing and posting it for sale, your diligence answering all the stupid questions about the item, your time packing the item and taking to the post office, queue up, pay for the post, packing, all the costs involved – you loose the lot including the item, because the buyer already has the money back returned to them by eBay, meaning there is no reason for them to ever send your unpaid item back to you, so guess what, you may not never get your item back.
All a buyer has to do on eBay to get a full refund and keep the item it seems, is to simply complain and say : item was not as described  or say :  item was not working properly.

Affiliate Promoting

Affiliate Promoting

Affiliate Promoting,  An affiliate promoter is a person who sends visitors to a website in exchange for commissions.

Affiliate Promoting is simple, once you have signed up for an affiliate programme you will get the choice of different size buttons, text or banners to place on your website or Blog (WebLog), as an affiliate you will given an affiliate link code,  copy the code and paste into your website, if you choose a banner you don’t need to upload graphics or any other complicated date, your web server (affiliate) will host all the necessary HTML and programming requirements for the banner for you.

When people click on the  banner they are redirected to the affiliate website, at the same time a special piece of information (called a cookie) is set up on for the customer so that every time they go back to the same affiliate website, the affiliate can identify that this sale came from the  affiliate link on your website.

Now here’s the best part of affiliate Promoting, once it’s all setup and in place you can sit back and receive commission for every sale that comes through your affiliate link.

Anyone can do this it’s simple and straight forward, in the case of running a web site content is king.  Content, Quality Content in any field but that won’t be easy.

Categories or Tags

Categories or Tags

Categories, unlike tags, can have a hierarchy. You might have a Jazz category, and under that can have children categories for Bebop and Big Band. WordPress provided Categorys and Tags.

Categories allow for a broad grouping of post topics, when you need to describe a post in more specific terms you use Tags categories are similar tage required to describe your posts, categories generally and tages in more detail.

We understand that it may be a bit confusing upon first glance (especially to new bloggers), so here are some common questions and answers that will help

Do I have to use tags?

No, the use of tags is entirely optional but each post must have at least one category

Are categories and tags hierarchical?

Categories can be arranged in a hierarchy (see the categories widget to learn more) Tags exist in their own right and have no set relationship to anything else

Is Tag the same as tag ? Yes. Capitals letters do not change a tag. Blogging is the same as blogging.

Is there a limit to the number of tags I can have? No, the sky. In other words there is no limit

Is there any advantage to using tags or categories, or both?

Your posts will appear in the global tag listings of any tags or categories you use. Therefore, assigning tags and categories to your post increases the chance that other users will see your content but you don’t want irrelevant content showing up on the global tag listings or search, That’s why we limit the number of tags that can be used on a public tag listing. Five to 10 tags (or categories, or a combination of the two) is a good number to add to each of your posts.

The more tags you use, the less likely it is that your post will be selected for inclusion in the global tag listings.

Why aren’t my posts showing up in the global tag pages?Check out the Global Tags documentation.

How are the archive URLs different for tags and categories? If you publish a post ‘P,attached to a category ‘A’, the URL will look like this : http://1stpro.com/cA/pP/ The same post using the tag ‘B’ will look like this : http://1stpro.com/tB/pP/ If you publish a post attached to a category ‘A’, and with the tag ‘B’, the URLs will look like this : http://1stpro.com/cA/tB/pP/ but if you take out the category in permalinks and don’t use a tag the URLs will look nice and clean like this : http://1stpro.com/pP/  we use one category ‘money’ for all our post so the URL for this post looks like this : http://1stpro.com/money/categories-or-tags/  take out the category permalink and just use ‘postname’ the URL will be very simple, like this : http://1stpro.com/categories-or-tags/
Matt Cutts
, CTO of Google, explains how they view tag clouds in the following video on whether tag clouds help or hinder SEO or whether they have little or no effect.

Watch the “Adding and deleting categories” video from WordPress.tv.

Watch the “Adding & managing categories after the fact” from from WordPress.tv.

We think controversially one category for all your posts and unique labels (tags) for each post if you must, but don’t include categories tags in your XML Map or tags for that matter,  forget all about the unique slug make everything the same, a slug is just another annoying bit of SEO you realy don’t need as are excerpts. trying to get the whole lot working as they should is just not worth the effort.

To recap : One category for all post, map your posts, pages, and (unique labels “tages” if you must). Finally only put Posts, Pages and Media in the XML-Site-map, then Google and your visitors will love you, But if you must put tags in the XML Map don’t include canonical (The canonical link is shown on the archive page for this term) that means the URL will be stripped out of the xml-map and Google will see that as not found 404, more headaches you can do without.

However, if you still choose to use both categories and tags, be sure to only index one of them in your XML-Map to avoid duplicate content and the potential for Google penalties. You can use the ‘WordPress SEO’ to help fine tune how the search engines index.

XML Site-Maps

XML Site-Maps

XML Site-Maps Good for your SEO ?

Your Website

Every website are concerned that once search engines locate their website they locate every single one of the web pages on the website and add these pages to their index. It’s crucial for a website owner that the search engine picks up the Keywords and page description they have loaded into their page content.

It is the existence of these Keywords, within a search engine’s index that helps get the web page displayed within the search engine’s result page. This occurs whenever someone does a search using the same keyword(s) within their search string in a search engine’s – search box.

It’s every website owner’s responsibility to make it as simple as possible for search engine spiders to locate and index every single webpage on their website, whenever search engine spiders visit the website.

A tried and tested way of doing this is to include a Site Map within the website. Normally the site map is accessed via a menu item. Hence both site visitors and search engine spiders can locate the site map easily enough. So let’s take a look at what a site map is. How many types of site map there are? How is a site map created and attached to the website?

What is a site map?

A sitemap is a graphical ( visual ) presentation that lists all the different pages contained within a website.

How many types of site maps are there?

There are two types of sitemaps, HTML ( Hyper Text Markup Language – type ) and XML ( eXtensible Markup Language – type).

The HTML based site map

An HTML sitemap is a graphical presentation that displays hierarchically grouped, lists of hyperlinks belonging to all the pages of a website. It’s primarily designed for humans.

By adding an HTML sitemap in your website, site visitors can easily navigate through the website. Additionally, a sitemap of this sort helps in – Sitemap based SEO – because it allows search engine spiders to easily find all the hyperlinks to every page on the website thus avoiding – missed pages.

Missed pages simply mean that these pages will not be in the search engine’s index. Therefore these pages never show up for those who use search engines ( like Google, Bing and Yahoo ) to locate appropriate pages for them to visit.

The XML based site map

An XML sitemap, is basically a list of the different URLs of a website but the list is created using very specific syntax ( i.e. XML ) that all search engines spiders are trained to understand with ease.

Using an XML site map for – Sitemap based SEO – accelerates search engine indexing because an XML site map informs search engine spiders about the different URLs of the website in a language they understand.

Most search engine spiders are trained to look for and identify if an XML based site map exists on a website.  If it does its accessed and used immediately by the spider.

A search engine’s spider does not have to visit each page of the website and navigate through the links on the page to understand the website’s architecture.  The spider only has to locate XML based site map to see and understand the entire website architecture.

Hence a website that uses an XML based site map for – Sitemap based SEO – would be indexed faster and more accurately and would perhaps rank well in search engines because the website has been thoroughly checked.

 The Importance Of Registering Your Sitemap with Google

Google actually assists webmasters in multiple ways. In the past, – Sitemap based SEO – was more of a guessing game.   Then Google launched a program called Google Analytics. This program provides valuable data about your site. It reports a ton of useful information including:

  • The last time the Googlebot paid a visit to your website
  • The keywords ( keyphrases ) people use in searches to locate your site
  • Problems in your website that need fixing

And a whole lot more.

If you have not created a Google analytics account for your website you really are missing on a whole lot of very important information about your website offered freely by the biggest search engine in use on the Internet.

One of the of Google Analytics data entry forms permits a website owner ( webmaster ) to enter the URL that points to their website XML site map.  This means that all webmasters have the power to inform Google exactly where their XML site map is to be found.  This goes a really long way in ensuring that your website is found and indexed by Google’s spiders.

What’s really nice about the using an XML based site map on your website is that search engine spiders other than Google also access and use the same XML site map.  There are a lot of tools available on the Internet that create will create an XML based site map for a website – for Free.  Do a search in Google and you will be pleasantly surprised at how many there are.

All of these tools essentially do the same thing. Once you’ve given them a website URL they thoroughly scan the website and deliver a properly formatted XML file, normally named sitemap.xml as the output of this exercise.  This file must be saved to your local computer. Once done, use FTP and place sitemap.xml in the root directory of your website, which is almost always/public_html.

If you are constantly making changes to your website, i.e. adding pages or deleting old pages, then after every such change you need to go back to the XLM based sitemap creation tools and re-create the file sitemap.xml and overwrite the old sitemap.xml file in your website’s root directory. This is because the website architecture has changed and hence the contents of the current sitemap.xml are obsolete.

Using an obsolete sitemap.xml file on a website hurts the website’s ranking in search engines. This is because one or more of the URLs contained within sitemap.xml could point to a nonexistent resource on the website.  Hence, it’s pretty important to update sitemap.xml immediately after making any structural change in the website.  Not to do so is unwise.

According to Google, XML site map optimization is specifically helpful for the following reasons:

Your website contains dynamic content

Your website is new and doesn’t have links that point to it. Since the spiders look at the inbound and outbound links during the crawling process, your site may not be scanned if it hardly has links that lead to it

If your website has pages that Googlebot cannot easily discover, e.g. pages with Rich AJAX or images.

Your site contains a huge archive of webpages that are not well interlinked to each other, or not linked at all

Do take a look at diagram 1 and diagram 2 below.

Validating your Sitemap
Extending the Sitemaps protocol
Informing search engine crawlers

This document describes the XML schema for the Sitemap protocol.

The Sitemap protocol format consists of XML tags. All data values in a Sitemap must be entity-escaped. The file itself must be UTF-8 encoded.

The Sitemap must:

  • Begin with an opening <urlset> tag and end with a closing </urlset> tag.
  • Specify the namespace (protocol standard) within the <urlset> tag.
  • Include a <url> entry for each URL, as a parent XML tag.
  • Include a <loc> child entry for each <url> parent tag.

All other tags are optional. Support for these optional tags may vary among search engines. Refer to each search engine’s documentation for details.

Also, all URLs in a Sitemap must be from a single host, such as www.example.com or store.example.com. For further details, refer the Sitemap file location

Sample XML Sitemap

The following example shows a Sitemap that contains just one URL and uses all optional tags. The optional tags are in italics.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">

   <url>

      <loc>http://www.example.com/</loc>

      <lastmod>2005-01-01</lastmod>       <changefreq>monthly</changefreq>       <priority>0.8</priority>

   </url>

</urlset>

Also see our example with multiple URLs.

XML tag definitions

The available XML tags are described below.

Attribute Description
<urlset> required Encapsulates the file and references the current protocol standard.
<url> required Parent tag for each URL entry. The remaining tags are children of this tag.
<loc> required URL of the page. This URL must begin with the protocol (such as http) and end with a trailing slash, if your web server requires it. This value must be less than 2,048 characters.
<lastmod> optional The date of last modification of the file. This date should be in W3C Datetimeformat. This format allows you to omit the time portion, if desired, and use YYYY-MM-DD.Note that this tag is separate from the If-Modified-Since (304) header the server can return, and search engines may use the information from both sources differently.
<changefreq> optional How frequently the page is likely to change. This value provides general information to search engines and may not correlate exactly to how often they crawl the page. Valid values are:

  • always
  • hourly
  • daily
  • weekly
  • monthly
  • yearly
  • never

The value “always” should be used to describe documents that change each time they are accessed. The value “never” should be used to describe archived URLs.

Please note that the value of this tag is considered a hint and not a command. Even though search engine crawlers may consider this information when making decisions, they may crawl pages marked “hourly” less frequently than that, and they may crawl pages marked “yearly” more frequently than that. Crawlers may periodically crawl pages marked “never” so that they can handle unexpected changes to those pages.

<priority> optional The priority of this URL relative to other URLs on your site. Valid values range from 0.0 to 1.0. This value does not affect how your pages are compared to pages on other sites—it only lets the search engines know which pages you deem most important for the crawlers.The default priority of a page is 0.5.Please note that the priority you assign to a page is not likely to influence the position of your URLs in a search engine’s result pages. Search engines may use this information when selecting between URLs on the same site, so you can use this tag to increase the likelihood that your most important pages are present in a search index.Also, please note that assigning a high priority to all of the URLs on your site is not likely to help you. Since the priority is relative, it is only used to select between URLs on your site.

Entity escaping

Your Sitemap file must be UTF-8 encoded (you can generally do this when you save the file). As with all XML files, any data values (including URLs) must use entity escape codes for the characters listed in the table below.

Character Escape Code
Ampersand & &amp;
Single Quote &apos;
Double Quote &quot;
Greater Than > &gt;
Less Than < &lt;

In addition, all URLs (including the URL of your Sitemap) must be URL-escaped and encoded for readability by the web server on which they are located. However, if you are using any sort of script, tool, or log file to generate your URLs (anything except typing them in by hand), this is usually already done for you. Please check to make sure that your URLs follow the RFC-3986 standard for URIs, the RFC-3987 standard for IRIs, and the XML standard.

Below is an example of a URL that uses a non-ASCII character (ü), as well as a character that requires entity escaping (&):

http://www.example.com/ümlat.php&q=name

Below is that same URL, ISO-8859-1 encoded (for hosting on a server that uses that encoding) and URL escaped:

http://www.example.com/%FCmlat.php&q=name

Below is that same URL, UTF-8 encoded (for hosting on a server thatuses that encoding) and URL escaped:

http://www.example.com/%C3%BCmlat.php&q=name

Below is that same URL, but also entity escaped:

http://www.example.com/%C3%BCmlat.php&amp;q=name

Sample XML Sitemap

The following example shows a Sitemap in XML format. The Sitemap in the example contains a small number of URLs, each using a different set of optional parameters.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">

   <url>

      <loc>http://www.example.com/</loc>

      <lastmod>2005-01-01</lastmod>

      <changefreq>monthly</changefreq>

      <priority>0.8</priority>

   </url>

   <url>

      <loc>http://www.example.com/catalog?item=12&amp;desc=vacation_hawaii</loc>

      <changefreq>weekly</changefreq>

Using Sitemap index files (to group multiple sitemap files)

You can provide multiple Sitemap files, but each Sitemap file that you provide must have no more than 50,000 URLs and must be no larger than 10MB (10,485,760 bytes). If you would like, you may compress your Sitemap files using gzip to reduce your bandwidth requirement; however the sitemap file once uncompressed must be no larger than 10MB. If you want to list more than 50,000 URLs, you must create multiple Sitemap files.

If you do provide multiple Sitemaps, you should then list each Sitemap file in a Sitemap index file. Sitemap index files may not list more than 50,000 Sitemaps and must be no larger than 10MB (10,485,760 bytes) and can be compressed. You can have more than one Sitemap index file. The XML format of a Sitemap index file is very similar to the XML format of a Sitemap file.

The Sitemap index file must:

  • Begin with an opening <sitemapindex> tag and end with a closing </sitemapindex> tag.
  • Include a <sitemap> entry for each Sitemap as a parent XML tag.
  • Include a <loc> child entry for each <sitemap> parent tag.

The optional <lastmod> tag is also available for Sitemap index files.

Note: A Sitemap index file can only specify Sitemaps that are found on the same site as the Sitemap index file. For example, http://www.yoursite.com/sitemap_index.xml can include Sitemaps on http://www.yoursite.com but not on http://www.example.com or http://yourhost.yoursite.com. As with Sitemaps, your Sitemap index file must be UTF-8 encoded.

Sample XML Sitemap Index

The following example shows a Sitemap index that lists two Sitemaps:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<sitemapindex xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">

   <sitemap>

      <loc>http://www.example.com/sitemap1.xml.gz</loc>

      <lastmod>2004-10-01T18:23:17+00:00</lastmod>

   </sitemap>

   <sitemap>

      <loc>http://www.example.com/sitemap2.xml.gz</loc>

      <lastmod>2005-01-01</lastmod>

   </sitemap>

</sitemapindex>

Note: Sitemap URLs, like all values in your XML files, must be entity escaped.

Sitemap Index XML Tag Definitions

Attribute Description
<sitemapindex> required Encapsulates information about all of the Sitemaps in the file.
<sitemap> required Encapsulates information about an individual Sitemap.
<loc> required Identifies the location of the Sitemap.This location can be a Sitemap, an Atom file, RSS file or a simple text file.
<lastmod> optional Identifies the time that the corresponding Sitemap file was modified. It does not correspond to the time that any of the pages listed in that Sitemap were changed. The value for the lastmod tag should be in W3C Datetimeformat.By providing the last modification timestamp, you enable search engine crawlers to retrieve only a subset of the Sitemaps in the index i.e. a crawler may only retrieve Sitemaps that were modified since a certain date. This incremental Sitemap fetching mechanism allows for the rapid discovery of new URLs on very large sites.

Back to top

Other Sitemap formats

The Sitemap protocol enables you to provide details about your pages to search engines, and we encourage its use since you can provide additional information about site pages beyond just the URLs. However, in addition to the XML protocol, we support RSS feeds and text files, which provide more limited information.

Syndication feed

You can provide an RSS (Real Simple Syndication) 2.0 or Atom 0.3 or 1.0 feed. Generally, you would use this format only if your site already has a syndication feed. Note that this method may not let search engines know about all the URLs in your site, since the feed may only provide information on recent URLs, although search engines can still use that information to find out about other pages on your site during their normal crawling processes by following links inside pages in the feed. Make sure that the feed is located in the highest-level directory you want search engines to crawl. Search engines extract the information from the feed as follows:

  • <link> field – indicates the URL
  • modified date field (the <pubDate> field for RSS feeds and the <updated> date for Atom feeds) – indicates when each URL was last modified. Use of the modified date field is optional.

Text file

You can provide a simple text file that contains one URL per line. The text file must follow these guidelines:

  • The text file must have one URL per line. The URLs cannot contain embedded new lines.
  • You must fully specify URLs, including the http.
  • Each text file can contain a maximum of 50,000 URLs and must be no larger than 10MB (10,485,760 bytes). If you site includes more than 50,000 URLs, you can separate the list into multiple text files and add each one separately.
  • The text file must use UTF-8 encoding. You can specify this when you save the file (for instance, in Notepad, this is listed in the Encoding menu of the Save As dialog box).
  • The text file should contain no information other than the list of URLs.
  • The text file should contain no header or footer information.
  • If you would like, you may compress your Sitemap text file using gzip to reduce your bandwidth requirement.
  • You can name the text file anything you wish. Please check to make sure that your URLs follow the RFC-3986 standard for URIs, the RFC-3987 standard for IRIs
  • You should upload the text file to the highest-level directory you want search engines to crawl and make sure that you don’t list URLs in the text file that are located in a higher-level directory.

Sample text file entries are shown below.

http://www.example.com/catalog?item=1

http://www.example.com/catalog?item=11

Sitemap file location

The location of a Sitemap file determines the set of URLs that can be included in that Sitemap. A Sitemap file located at http://example.com/catalog/sitemap.xml can include any URLs starting with http://example.com/catalog/ but can not include URLs starting with http://example.com/images/.

If you have the permission to change http://example.org/path/sitemap.xml, it is assumed that you also have permission to provide information for URLs with the prefix http://example.org/path/. Examples of URLs considered valid in http://example.com/catalog/sitemap.xml include:

http://example.com/catalog/show?item=23

http://example.com/catalog/show?item=233&user=3453

URLs not considered valid in http://example.com/catalog/sitemap.xml include:

http://example.com/image/show?item=23

http://example.com/image/show?item=233&user=3453

https://example.com/catalog/page1.php

Note that this means that all URLs listed in the Sitemap must use the same protocol (http, in this example) and reside on the same host as the Sitemap. For instance, if the Sitemap is located at http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml, it can’t include URLs from http://subdomain.example.com.

URLs that are not considered valid are dropped from further consideration. It is strongly recommended that you place your Sitemap at the root directory of your web server. For example, if your web server is at example.com, then your Sitemap index file would be at http://example.com/sitemap.xml. In certain cases, you may need to produce different Sitemaps for different paths (e.g., if security permissions in your organization compartmentalize write access to different directories).

If you submit a Sitemap using a path with a port number, you must include that port number as part of the path in each URL listed in the Sitemap file. For instance, if your Sitemap is located at http://www.example.com:100/sitemap.xml, then each URL listed in the Sitemap must begin with http://www.example.com:100.

Sitemaps & Cross Submits

To submit Sitemaps for multiple hosts from a single host, you need to “prove” ownership of the host(s) for which URLs are being submitted in a Sitemap. Here’s an example. Let’s say that you want to submit Sitemaps for 3 hosts:

www.host1.com with Sitemap file sitemap-host1.xml

www.host2.com with Sitemap file sitemap-host2.xml

www.host3.com with Sitemap file sitemap-host3.xml

Moreover, you want to place all three Sitemaps on a single host: www.sitemaphost.com. So the Sitemap URLs will be:

http://www.sitemaphost.com/sitemap-host1.xml

http://www.sitemaphost.com/sitemap-host2.xml

http://www.sitemaphost.com/sitemap-host3.xml

By default, this will result in a “cross submission” error since you are trying to submit URLs for www.host1.com through a Sitemap that is hosted on www.sitemaphost.com (and same for the other two hosts). One way to avoid the error is to prove that you own (i.e. have the authority to modify files) www.host1.com. You can do this by modifying the robots.txt file on www.host1.com to point to the Sitemap on www.sitemaphost.com.

In this example, the robots.txt file at http://www.host1.com/robots.txt would contain the line “Sitemap: http://www.sitemaphost.com/sitemap-host1.xml”. By modifying the robots.txt file on www.host1.com and having it point to the Sitemap on www.sitemaphost.com, you have implicitly proven that you own www.host1.com. In other words, whoever controls the robots.txt file on www.host1.com trusts the Sitemap at http://www.sitemaphost.com/sitemap-host1.xml to contain URLs for www.host1.com. The same process can be repeated for the other two hosts.

Now you can submit the Sitemaps on www.sitemaphost.com.

When a particular host’s robots.txt, say http://www.host1.com/robots.txt, points to a Sitemap or a Sitemap index on another host; it is expected that for each of the target Sitemaps, such as http://www.sitemaphost.com/sitemap-host1.xml, all the URLs belong to the host pointing to it. This is because, as noted earlier, a Sitemap is expected to have URLs from a single host only.

Validating your Sitemap

The following XML schemas define the elements and attributes that can appear in your Sitemap file. You can download this schema from the links below:

For Sitemaps: http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9/sitemap.xsd
For Sitemap index files: http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9/siteindex.xsd

There are a number of tools available to help you validate the structure of your Sitemap based on this schema. You can find a list of XML-related tools at each of the following locations:

http://www.w3.org/XML/Schema#Tools
http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2000/12/13/schematools.html

In order to validate your Sitemap or Sitemap index file against a schema, the XML file will need additional headers as shown below.

Sitemap:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>

<urlset xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

         xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9 http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9/sitemap.xsd"

         xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">

   <url>

      ...

   </url>

</urlset>

Sitemap index file:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>

<sitemapindex xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

         xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9 http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9/siteindex.xsd"

         xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">

   <sitemap>

      ...

   </sitemap>

</sitemapindex>

Extending the Sitemaps protocol

You can extend the Sitemaps protocol using your own namespace. Simply specify this namespace in the root element. For example:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>

<urlset xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

         xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9 http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9/sitemap.xsd"

         xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9"

         xmlns:example="http://www.example.com/schemas/example_schema"> <!-- namespace extension -->

   <url>

      <example:example_tag>

         ...

      </example:example_tag>

      ...

   </url>

</urlset>

Informing search engine crawlers

Once you have created the Sitemap file and placed it on your webserver, you need to inform the search engines that support this protocol of its location. You can do this by:

The search engines can then retrieve your Sitemap and make the URLs available to their crawlers.

Submitting your Sitemap via the search engine’s submission interface

To submit your Sitemap directly to a search engine, which will enable you to receive status information and any processing errors, refer to each search engine’s documentation.

Specifying the Sitemap location in your robots.txt file

You can specify the location of the Sitemap using a robots.txt file. To do this, simply add the following line including the full URL to the sitemap:

Sitemap: http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml

This directive is independent of the user-agent line, so it doesn’t matter where you place it in your file. If you have a Sitemap index file, you can include the location of just that file. You don’t need to list each individual Sitemap listed in the index file.

You can specify more than one Sitemap file per robots.txt file.

Sitemap: http://www.example.com/sitemap-host1.xml

Sitemap: http://www.example.com/sitemap-host2.xml

Submitting your Sitemap via an HTTP request

To submit your Sitemap using an HTTP request (replace <searchengine_URL> with the URL provided by the search engine), issue your request to the following URL:

<searchengine_URL>/ping?sitemap=sitemap_url

For example, if your Sitemap is located at http://www.example.com/sitemap.gz, your URL will become:

<searchengine_URL>/ping?sitemap=http://www.example.com/sitemap.gz

URL encode everything after the /ping?sitemap=:

<searchengine_URL>/ping?sitemap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yoursite.com%2Fsitemap.gz

You can issue the HTTP request using wget, curl, or another mechanism of your choosing. A successful request will return an HTTP 200 response code; if you receive a different response, you should resubmit your request. The HTTP 200 response code only indicates that the search engine has received your Sitemap, not that the Sitemap itself or the URLs contained in it were valid. An easy way to do this is to set up an automated job to generate and submit Sitemaps on a regular basis.
Note: If you are providing a Sitemap index file, you only need to issue one HTTP request that includes the location of the Sitemap index file; you do not need to issue individual requests for each Sitemap listed in the index.

Excluding content

The Sitemaps protocol enables you to let search engines know what content you would like indexed. To tell search engines the content you don’t want indexed, use a robots.txt file or robots meta tag. See robotstxt.org for more information on how to exclude content from search engines.

Keep your Eye on the Ball

Keep your Eye on the Ball, Don’t loose focus.

Focus is the key, It’s relatively easy to start but to keep going on down the road and not get distracted, loose focus.

Success working on-line can be achieved in a simple way, if you stay focused! If you stay focused and work on one subject at a time and fully understand what your subject is all bought, learn all you can before you comment or take a side, people will listen, you must become an expert on a given subject to comment in a way that will be noticed. There is little point in looking up and collecting lots of pictures and data on say bots, then saying to the world “I think the flat sole ones are best” without giving an educated reason as to why, in your opinion flat soles are best. When you become dedicated and focused on a given subject, only then can you declare “I THINK”.

That’s the Difficult part that most will falter and stumble over, so be aware and take care to pay attention to everything around you  so that this doesn’t happen. For some people to loose focus might be as simple as not keeping track of a wallet or a cell-phone. For others, it might mean not being careful to nurture a friendship that if left might not last. It is this attentive detail that gets things done. SEO Search Engine Optimization is very time consuming, requires considerable concentration, time and effort. It can be likened to keeping fit, losing weight or dieting it is so easy to lose you way and not focus on your plan.

Must Have Quality Content

Must Have Quality Content

Must Have Quality Content content is King always has been really.

Today more so than ever before you Must Have Quality Content, It’s simply no longer any use scraping old out of date material from other web sites and plonking it on your site pretending the stuff your’s, because although you may fool some of your readers you won’t fool Google.

Feed the Google Penguin

Feed the Google Penguin with fresh
quality content!

Google is spending millions trying to improve the user experience and the practise of cutting other peoples material and pasting on to your site stands out to Google like a flashing blue light on a dark night, so be warned, Google will stamp on you.

This is a cut and past article here in red, It’s on topic but we just copied and pasted from here : www.philosophy.ox.ac.uk/data/Plagiarism  and they in turn may have copied it from here :  www.cmrs.org.uk/current-students/cmrs-plagiarism-policy.

It’s hard to tell who the original author was, but here in red below is straight forward unadulterated copying from philosophy.ox.ac.uk to illustrate our point.

Plagiarism is the use of material appropriated from aother source or from other sources with the intention of passing it off as one’s own work. Plagiarism may take the form of unacknowledged quotation or substantial paraphrase. Sources of material include all printed and electronically available publications in English or other languages, or unpublished materials, including theses, ritten by others.

Here  in green below is an example of the same article spun by us with corrected spelling to look as if it were original from us :

Plagiarism is material appropriated from anther source, copied and past off as original work. Plagiarism will take many forms, quotation, paraphrase or parts of stories, any sources of material including printed and electronically available publications in any languages and or unpublished materials written by others.

One last example below is part of one of our own articles spun for us to use, we print only parts of the article fearful of the Google Penguin  :

Original 1stPro article :-

People today it seems are getting fatter and fatter, We see this every day at the local etc,. – can hardly walk pushing trolley’s and it is the girls, women who seem to be the fattest or maybe It’s because most of the men are now to fat to get out and go shopping with the women. I was born in the 1940s and remember the 1950s well enough and obesity, (being fat) was never really noticed at least by me it wasn’t, there was a fat man at the end of our road but he was ill and did not get out very much, although I do remember he did shuffle, etc,. – boxes and other so called consumables spilling out onto the ground. In the 1950s you did not throw away a thing, anything remotely useful not wanted you’d give away to a friend or neighbour. Nowadays it you gave a second hand 18 carat gold ring to someone they would feel insulted, etc,. – eBay or the charity shops, unheard of in the 1950s.

Spun 1stPro article :-

It seems people today are getting fatter, you can see this every day in the local super market. Obese over weight individuals pushing trolley’s filled up with processed junk food. Anyone born in the 1940s will remember the 1950s and being fat/obese was never really an issue, unless you were ill.
Anyone remember dust bins?, etc,. – painted black or galvanised. In-side your 1950s dust bin would be very different too, you might see dust bags from house cleaning or dust and ash from the fire neatly wrapped in newspaper, you were unlikely to find anything useful in a dust bin (that’s why we called them dust-bins). Nowadays you have three bins all made out of plastic (wheelie bins), etc,. – Black for I forget what, overflowing with consumable packaging and processed food bags. In the 1950s you did not have consumable to throw away, anything useful not wanted etc,. – second hand item they would feel insulted, today, a not wanted item, in the bin with it, unheard of in the 1950s.

No matter how good you think you are, if you copy the work of others, Google Penguin will pick up on it, others will also see you as an article copy spinner and treat you accordingly.

Buy and sell products from eBay

Buy and sell products from eBay

Link to eBay now to ~  Buy and Sell products from eBay

You can start by selling your own old out of date stuff, you will be amazed people need and will buy anything, but that is not the way to get rich, although you can sell old rubbish stuff, you’ll get very little and soon be fed-up with having to deal with some of the pedantic self opinionated and very often ungrateful individuals that seem to frequent eBay, The best and only sensible way is to sell new stuff with no come-back, or just buy on eBay but do not resell back on eBay, if for instance you are buying old antiques, then take your purchases to a specialist auction room or sell to your own contacts, both of which you will develop in a very short space of time, once you get a feel for buying you will develop an eye for what will and what will not sell, specialise in one product,  gold, antiques or watches for instance, be focused and get good at what you do.

This is a part page from : –http://www.dailyblogtips.com/top-25seoblogs/  by Daniel Scocco : –
I love rankings, what can I say. After I published the “Top 25 Blogs About Blogging” list I thought that someone would replicate it for the SEO sphere. But no one did, so here we go again.

This list was made using pretty much the same algorithm (only small modifications were made, mainly due to the fact that SEO blogs are more popular). Once again the list should be useful because it is based on objective factors. There are many “Top SEO Blogs” lists around the web, but most of them are based on the preferences of the author.

Google Pagerank (0 to 10): the actual Pagerank was used on the algorithm.

The Top 25 SEO Blogs list,

1 Search Engine Land 2 SEOBook 3 SEO Moz 4 Matt Cutts 5 Search Engine Watch 6 Search Engine Roundtable 7 Search Engine Journal 8 Online Marketing Blog 9 Pronet Advertising 10 Marketing Pilgrim 11 SEO Chat 12 Search Engine Guide 13 SEO Blackhat 14  Stuntdubl 15 Graywolf’s SEO 16 SEO by the SEA 17 Link Building Blog 18 Jim Boykin 19 SEOpedia 20 DaveN 21 Bruce Clay 22 Blue Hat SEO 23 Tropical SEO 24 SEO Refugee 24 Small Business SEM

Blogs considered: the list considers only blogs that have a high percentage of SEO-related content. Topics might range from SEO news coverage to general SEO discussion and link building.

Alexa Rank (0 to 10): Ranges were determined based on the Alexa Rank (i.e., 100k and up, 80k-100k, 60k-80k, 40k-60k) and each range was assigned a number (1 to 10).

To Slug or not To Slug

To Slug or not To Slug

To Slug or not To Slug

Brian over Copyblogger. The post was titled “Six Common Punctuation Errors that Bedevil Bloggers.” The URL, however, was http://www.copyblogger.com/punctuation-mistakes/
You can see the potential of this little Slug feature. So simple, yet so useful.
If you publish a post on WordPress without specifying the post Slug, W/Press will create a URL that is equal to the post title (provided you are already using an optimal URL structure).
Most of the times, however, that URL will not be search engine optimized.
To Slug or not To Slug
You probably want to write your headlines and post titles with humans in mind. After all, you need to make them catchy and motivate the reader to check the rest of the content. The same is not true for URLs. While a clean URL structure that contains a description of the page might benefit human users, usually they are more relevant to search engines.
That is where the WordPress post Slug feature comes into play. On the little box that appears on the right of your text editor you can manually set the URL structure for that post. As you can see from the example I mentioned, Brian knew that many of the words used in the title of the post would not be used by users searching for similar information. He decided, therefore, to use just the keywords “punctuation” and “mistakes” in the URL.
When crafting your post Slug try to focus on the keywords that are used on popular search queries, and remember that the fewer keywords you use, the higher their relative value.
Some people were already aware of this trick, but we think it was worth sharing this Slug again.

Iimage green slug To Slug or not To Slug

To Slug or not To Slug

To Slug or not To Slug ? Now thats all well and good but here is the problem if you do that very sensible thing you will compromise your SEO because then the URL will not match your Focus Keyword.

If you are dedicatedly trying to get you SEO right with the help of SEO Yoast this is going to mess up your mind and give you sleepless nights.

Keyword   (Slug or no Slug)            Keyword   (To Slug or not To Slug)

Your focus keyword was found in:           Your focus keyword was found in:

Article Heading: Yes (1)                               Article Heading: Yes (1)
Page title: Yes (1)                                           Page title: Yes (1)
Page URL: No (1)                                           Page URL: Yes (1)
Content: Yes (4)                                             Content: Yes (4)
Meta description: Yes (1)                              Meta description: Yes (1)

Best to use the same key words for both, that way – no conflict. Categories and tags, can we think have the same key words, if you feel compelled to use any, many would argue this point by point, but just remember the poor old visitor looking at this URL : http://1stpro.com/categories/to-slug-or-not-to-slug/tag/lug-oVr-no-slug/slug/slug-or-no-slug/ insted of this URL : http://1stpro.com/to-slug-or-not-to-slug/

We think one category for all your posts with a unique label (tag) for each post, forget all about the smaller slug and make everything the same,  the Slug may just be another bit of annoying SEO you realy don’t need.

Do-not get stressed

Do-not get stressed

What is stress? Stress is the feeling of being under too much mental or emotional pressure.

Many of life’s demands can cause stress, especially work, relationships and money problems, when you feel stressed it will affect everything you do, how you react to situations and how you behave towards others.

More about : what causes stress.

Stress can affect how you think, how you behave and how your body works. Sleeping problems, sweating, loss of appetite and difficulty concentrating are common signs of stress.

Managing stress

Stress is not itself an illness but will cause serious illness if not tackled. Recognise the : symptoms of stress early.

This will help you with ways of coping and save you from unhealthy coping methods, such as drinking or smoking.

Spotting the early signs of stress also help prevent potentially causing serious complications, such as high blood pressure, anxiety and depression. More on health.

  2. Visit the Home tab, then Account settings in the left hand panel.
  3. In the “Access & authorization” section, next to “Sites authorized to show ads,” click edit.
  4. Check the box marked Only allow certain sites to display ads for my account. (NO IT SAYS : “Sites authorized to show ads”)
  5. Enter the URL of the sites that you want to authorize, then click Save

Your changes should take effect within 48 hours.

Please note our systems might attribute a few impressions to sites that you do not control and that do not directly have your ad code on them. Check possible reasons for this.

If you don’t add a site to the authorized sites list, and you place your ad code on it, ads will continue to appear on the site but you will not earn from them. So please enable this feature with caution to avoid missing out on valid revenue.

What happens to sites I don’t authorize?

Authorising sites If a URL displaying your AdSense ad code is not on your list of authorized sites, ads will still show on that URL, and impressions and clicks will be recorded. However, advertisers will not be charged, and you will not receive any earnings for that site.

Site authorization is an optional feature that allows you to identify only specific sites that are permitted to use your Google ad code. If you’re particularly concerned about malicious use of your ad code by others, you may wish to use this feature as a precaution.

You would think that Google with their infinite wisdom may have a  look, and view  your site or pre warn you in some way,  and advise you or flag a warning,  THAT YOU WILL NOT GET PAID FOR YOUR HARD WORK UNLESS YOU AUTHORISE YOUR SITES.
BUT no “o” no, no, no, no, Google bless em, will not tell you you’re not gonna get any pay, your site will have the Google AdSense advts on Their, “Your Site”,  with all the Bells and Whistles flashing and you will be rightly very, very, very proud, because if you’re new to this, Getting those ads up there working is a real genuine unsung technical achievement.
Getting the web site, Getting it hosted, Getting Google to accept you, Getting the ad set up, Getting the ad code, Getting the know how to put that code in your web site HTML base. All of this is no small feet of technical competence especially, if you are new and have not done this before, you should be rightly proud.
We can tell you it is an achievement even when you know what you’re doing it’s not easy, but the fact is after all this heartbreaking work you think you’ve done it and you have, except of cause you won’t get paid unless you authorise your site, it’s as simple as that, YOU WILL NOT GET PAID UNLESS YOU AUTHORISE YOUR SITE. Only Google does this to their loyal promoters, why?  only Google knows why, we don’t know why, it’s one of thoughts nobody knows why things that only happens with Godgle.

AUTHORIS YOUR SITES OR YOU WILL NOT GET ANY PAY

Then it all ends up with this note :-

If you don’t add a site to the authorized sites list, and you place your ad code on it,

ads will continue to appear on the site but you won’t earn from them.Therefore,

please enable this feature with caution to avoid missing out on valid revenue.

(enable this feature with caution)it says as if to suggest it should not be enabled,  why caution?. ” be careful or you might earn some money, Ha Ha Ha”.

Can you make Money OnLine

Can you make Money OnLine

Can you make Money OnLine

What type of personality can make it On-Line We find the people that do well and those that do not generally fall into just (6) Six very simple distinct personalities.

Can you make Money OnLine

(3) Three “Loser types”  and  (3) Three “Winner types”

Sometimes a mixture of both loser and winner types. Knowing where you fit, “your personality type” will help you to make changes and move forward, the word “Course” means the method or programme you will use to work OnLine, the course of action, (Course).

Can you make Money OnLine – Loser types :-

1st : Loser type : The”Know it all”

This type thinks they know it all, complain a lot about having bad luck and are not open to new ideas, will not ask questions or seek advise and will spend months even years working hard on a flawed Course refusing to see any of the short comings. The minute you start to think you know it all is the minute you loose, this type rarely gets things off the ground.                           This personality type has a very slim chance of making it in the long run and must change to succeed.

2nd : Loser type : The “Butterfly mind ”

This type takes action, does all the right things, gets going is not afraid to work long and hard, but is easily distracted and hops like a butterfly from one opportunity, method or programme to another, trying hard to find better Course ~ perfection, We have seen people stuck for years in this mode. The internet is gigantic, a universe of methods and opportunities, you can spend a life time looking for the perfect Course, that you will never find.
This personality type will lose, has a very destructive bad habit that must be broken.

3rd : Loser type : The “perfectionist”

This type will get hold of every report, eBook and eCourse, studies them in minute detail but rarely acts decisively and never takes a single unassisted step forward, asks lots of irrelevant questions before and after buying a programme, then requires help with every step. In our experience this is also a person that rarely gets things off the ground.
We have seen this time and again, the act of buying these eBooks and eCourses makes one feel you’re accomplishing something, but in reality this is not the case,                                                                                                                                               This personality type will lose, if this is you, you are just wasting your time, you must focus.

With all this negativity we would like to say :  We do not want to upset anyone’s feelings, we tell  the truth as we see it, so that 1stPro can help, if you want help.

Can you make Money OnLine – Winner types :-

1st : Winner type : take’s action follows the course to the end.

This type takes action but unlike the “2nd Looser type” has a good attitude, will not get distracted and follows the chosen course, method or programme to completion staying with the plan without trying to change or improve proven methods.
This personality type has every chance of success, the method or programme chosen may not be the best one available but this type of personality will make it to the end of the course and the Course will work at it’s best.                                                     This is a winner personality type, has every chance of success given the right course.

2nd : Winner type :

This type also has a good attitude with no preconceived notions, asks a few questions and then without delay take’s action, get’s started. What separates them from the rest – in addition to taking timely action, they have focused action.
This personality type again has every chance of success and will adapt a Course without getting side tracked.

3rd : Winner type :

This type has an open mind about learning new things, will already be familiar with web site work, will have a WebLog (Blog) uses Twitter, YouTube and may even have a small web site .
They end up finding their own style, develop their own ideas and find ways of doing things, resourcefulness is the trait that these people have, “they will find a way” they boldly act discovering other profitable avenues.
By just boldly acting without knowing all the fine details or minutely studying things that way go wrong.
” Take action and the how will reveal itself “.
This personality type will easily find success, adapting without going to far off the Course, will try, has focus and action.

Before you get Started

Before you get Started

Before you get Started

 Before you get Started : Make a Plan to Keep Yourself Fit.

By dpo : So you have decided to try and make some money on-line,
well that in its self is a relatively easy thing to do, all you need is a computer and an internet connection, nowadays you don’t have to own either, pop along to your local internet cafe and for a few quid you will have a computer on line ready to go, and once on line there are a number of extremely simple ways to make money, that is pocket money, making a living wage enough for you to stop the day job pay the bills and have fun, that’s completely different and not easy to do.
Do not be fooled by all the internet Gurus out there trying to sell you money making programmes, because most of them don’t work as well as the claims and you will not discover their failings for months struggling to make them work, or if they do work you won’t yet have the skill to make them work properly.

Before you get Started and before we start to discuss the pros and cons of the many different ways to earn on line,
The one simple thing you must do, that most won’t tell you, before you get started on your new life of spending day after day on a computer, You Will Have To Plan A Way To Keep Fit,  YES YOU WILL !

Don’t think you can skip this bit especially if you have or have had a manual job, say plumbing, electrical work or any type of building and decorating work, that type of work keeps you fit,  Stop That Work and it will be essential to keep fit in some other way,

Now please don’t leave us at this point. You will have to plan to keep fit so you may as well face it, If you don’t your health will suffer in a matter of weeks not years. Sit still for a week or so at a desk and your muscle tone will immediately drop under par, do that for months on end and you will soon suffer ill health.

It’s absolutely essential that you make a plan to keep your self fit by actively setting out a plan of various things to do for each and every day of the week with at least one, “Do-As-You-Like-Day” as I call it, that is a day spent completely away from the computer. You can spend that day with a note pad if you must planning what to do the next day on the computer or planning your fitness programme, but what ever you do, don’t touch the computer for the whole day, you will work much more effectively the next day after a days break.

Exercise and a programme to Keep yourself physically fit is just the beginning if your going spend your working day sitting down in front of a computer screen, you will have to Keep yourself mentally fit as well and with this in mind, good food is more then absolutely essential. “you are what you eat”. So you also need to Keep yourself food fit
